Drivers for Creative X-Fi for Linux are coming out this week which is about time as the products have already been on the market for 2 years. But finally Linux users will be able to get them as well for their cards.

The cards include X-Fi XtremeGamer, X-Fi XtremeGamer Fatal1ty Pro, X-Fi Platinum Fatal1ty Champion Series and X-Fi Elite Pro.

Creative said that they had planed to deliver the drivers earlier, but with the delay in the Windows Vista driver, the Linux question had to wait.

Phoronix writs that the driver (which is closed source) will be launch any day now, and it’s very likely that it will be released this week.
