The voting on OOXML in Sweden has been ruled as invalid by SIS themselves and a new vote is around the corner
So it’s official, SIS ruled the voting about the OOXML question as invalid where the pro OOXML side won.
But the interesting thing is that this didn’t happened because of the major criticism towards the voting but because of the fact that someone voted twice which is against the rules.
The result of this is that the voting has to be redone for Sweden’s part in a short time frame, before the 2nd of September.
The board at SIS says that the deadline is so near that it is uncertain whether they can pull of a new voting before the time runs out.
Now if Sweden can’t organize a new vote the result can be that Sweden will have to put down their vote in the global voting, meaning Sweden will neither say yes or no on that question.
What will happen, we’ll just have to wait and see.
But in my opinion no vote is better than a yes in the matter.
